Lunch with Friends
Today I met my NCT class of girls at Whole Foods for coffee. (Minus one who was giving birth to a little girl!) We are all due next week- all in a row! After coffee, I went to lunch with two girls, Maila and Padi to a wonderful little bakery called Ottolenghi in Notting Hill. It was delicious! Life on maternity leave is pretty good!
No News!
Just sitting around waiting for BBB! There are still no signs of labor. I was hoping he may come today, my Mom's birthday, but I guess he is not ready! After a quick visit with my GP this afternoon, I don't much news! The doctor is sending off my urine for a test to make sure all is well, I will get those results on Friday. I am measuring 41 cm, up 1 cm from last week. My blood pressure was great, the baby's heart beat was loud and strong and his head is down, about 4/5 of the way there. I see the midwife on February 5th if the baby has not come by then. I am off to a Jr.League meeting now!

Our car seat arrived today! It is very compact and comes with a big manual. I am trying to see if a taxi will let me practice putting it in.
Yesterday, on my first day of maternity leave we had a new washing machine installed, groceries delivered and I picked up the flat. Kyle was very helpful and vacuumed after his long day at the office. We are all ready for the big day!
Kyle has been busy with 'busy season' and trying to wrap things up before the baby comes and his 2 weeks of paternity leave begins. It is a beautiful day today: blue skies- have not seen that for a while! I am going on a long walk and then to meet Kyle for his annual oncologist appointment on Harley Street.
Tomorrow I see my GP for a check up and to listen to the baby! Shouldn't be much longer! Kyle thinks the baby will come on February 4th. I am hoping for tomorrow! No true signs of labor, just lots of movement and heartburn!

Waiting on Baby Benefield
The countdown for the arrival of Baby Benefield has begun. With the due date only 12 days away, Kyle and I are getting anxious. My last day of work was yesterday and I am excited about a full year off to be with the baby.
I am feeling well, having some trouble sleeping every now and then, but still able to get around, enjoy walks in the park and take care of last minute things. We are laying low this weekend, relaxing, going to the movies, doing laundry and reading baby books.
