Hoyer and I made it to the States! We had a wonderful flight from London to New Orleans! Here are some pics of Hoyer's first flight. It went well, we got an upgrade and had empty seats all around us for both flights. GG and Pop were glad to see us in New Orleans and BB came over for a visit today.

We are getting packed up and ready for our trip to the States. This will be the second stamp on Hoyer's passport. We can't wait to see everyone!

Success! Hoyers Sleeps through the night.

It is not a fluke. Hoyer is sleeping through the night! Last night it was 9 hours without a peep.

Weekend Fun

Hoyer watched his first Alabama game with friends this past weekend. He wore his 'future bama fan' bib and his 'I drool crimson and white' burp cloth and he also had his Alabama passy. He enjoyed the game and even better, Alabama played themselves so everyone was happy with the outcome.

We also had a nice long day in the park with our friend Nadia. We stocked up on nibbles from Whole Foods and enjoyed the beautiful weather in Kensington Gardens, we even fed the ducks.

Hoyer is enjoying his little seat these days too- it gives him the opportunity to sit up!

Hoyer is starting to teeth. He has a tooth coming in on the front top left. We can feel it and Hoyer is not too happy about it.

Hoyer's first trip out of UK

We had a great trip to Belgium. Hoyer did very well. The train is so easy and the staff is really accommodating. Each of us had a bag and we breezed through security as Hoyer slept. Once we and got settled into out seats we had lots of time to spare. Good thing, cause Hoyer did have a very stinky 'nappy' as soon as we got settled and we lost a onesie to it, but got him all cleaned up and he slept most of the way. The tunnel did not seem to affect his ears, so that was great. His passport is stamped and we are feeling confident for our next big trip out of the country..home!
Hoyer slept in the Moses basket of his pram at the Hotel, but did enjoy the King Size bed too- he stretched and stretched as soon as we put him on it. Overall, it was a great trip and better than we expected. Hoyer enjoyed the cobblestone streets, like a little massage all day long! More pics from our trip coming soon!

Easter Bunny Came!

The Easter Bunny visited us and left a CD for Hoyer and a cute summer outfit and hat. Looks like he likes the CD a lot more than the outfit. Such a boy.

Happy Easter

Belgium for Easter

We are going to Belgium for Easter. We are taking the EuroStar from London to Brussels and will travel around to Brugge and Gent by train. The Easter Bunny is coming early to the Benefield house- he will be here Thursday before we head out of town.

Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle, set on two islands on the River Len in the heart of Kent, has been home to royalty, lords and ladies for more than 900 years. We spent Sunday afternoon at the castle. Hoyer was carried around all day in the sling- he is very happy in it and sleeps most of the time.He is starting to really hold his head up all of the time on his own. Here are some pictures from our day- we got lost in the maze for about 20 minutes, but eventually made it out!

Prince Charming

Hoyer had his hearing test yesterday and all is well. We had a nice time strolling through the neighborhood and enjoying the weather. Here he is asleep on my legs. Too cute.


Hoyer's friend, Simone, came over for a little while too. Here are pics of Hoyer an Simone. Simone is 6 weeks older than Hoyer, she was adorable, smiling and laughing, Hoyer acted like Simone had koodies. What a Prince Charming.
