24 hours old now

Babies are doing great. Still in the special care unit, but progressing very well and should be in the room with me this afternoon at 4.

They have little IVs giving them glucose.
I was able to get out of bed, change and wheel down to see them this morning. It's tough to move, but well worth it to reach these perfect angels.

Garret was born 1min. before Graham. Garrett is 1 pound heavier and 1 inch longer than Graham.

Garrett and Graham

Our precious twins arrived today! God is good. Everything went very well with their delivery.
Garret weighed in at 6lbs and Graham at 5lbs.

Both had low blood sugar and have spent some time in the special baby care unit this afternoon, but are expected to be out tomorrow morning. This is common on identical twins who've been sharing nutrients.

Nerdy Family!

Hoyer and Charlie and Daddy have been enjoying their Halloween costumes a lot.
I wont be around on Halloween this year, as I am scheduled to have the twins on the 30th, so it is fun to watch them play and interact in full character! But, I still say Star Wars is nerdy! Cute, but nerdy!

Hong Kong Pumpkin Patch

We visited our local  pumpkin patch  grocery store to pick out the perfect pumpkin for Halloween.
With the hefty price tag of $24 USD per pumpkin,
we opted for individual gourds, one for each member of our family.

Hoyer shows off one he choose for one of the twins.

Throw Back

This is me and my dad. Taken at our Poplarville, MS house around 1982. My brother found it and sent it out as he is now the  age of our father in this picture! I love the picture because it brings back to many amazing memories of our Mississippi house and my childhood. That shed behind my dad held all of our fishing gear and tubing gear and we always had to open the doors with caution as there were snakes lurking...That swing, I can remember how that yellow rope would splinter into my hands and how we changed the swing from a tire to a wedge tire to a wooden seat and there was a sandbox across from  here and I can remember hauling in sand from the creek down the path.

I love this picture because I am the same age as Charlie and for once I see a smidgen of resemblance to my little blue-eyes blond hair boy. My dad looks the same to me and Hoyer- as he said without hesitation that that was Pop-but was curious who Pop was holding-
"Who is that little girl?" he asked.
"Did Mary Katharine and Martin have a girl?
So sweet that in Hoyer's mind, Pop looks just like Pop still. Must be the hair!

Family of Four

Our little family of four {for a while longer}.
Today we headed to church as a family of four.
With each passing day I wonder how much longer we will be just the four of us. Days? Weeks?

I have my hospital bag packed and ready to go. Baby clothes washed and prepped. Tiny packs of diapers stocked. Blankets, bibs and cribs all set up.
Now we wait!

I am in entering into my 34th week.  Both babies weighing close to 5lbs already! What a blessing!

When I think back on this journey I realize just how blessed I have been.
Although there were some scares early on, we leaned on family, friends and the prayers and support of strangers and we got through it.

Our faith grew as our babies grew.

God is good.  Miracles happen. Angels are surrounding us. I've seen it. I believe it, I know it.

We've come a long way already
and we put our trust in the Lord as we wait out these next days and weeks.

Thank you to everyone who said a prayer, sent us good vibes and thoughts  and thank you to those who continue to do so.  We feel the love from all over the world.

We will keep everyone updated as the days go by!
XOXO
