We went to Brighton with Debbie on Wednesday. Hoyer saw the sea for the first time! We had a great day on the pier, eating lunch and shopping. Debbie was so sweet to drive us and Hoyer loved riding a car.

Kyle's aunt and uncle are in London for business and we got the pleasure of having lunch with them today in Kensington Gardens. It was a beautiful day and Hoyer had a great time hanging out with his great aunt and uncle, he also loves the adorable outfit from Mobile and the London story book they brought him!
We also got some great news while we were at lunch- Kyle passed the CPA exam!!! Congrats!

Mothering Day

Today is Mothering Day in the UK and Kyle and Hoyer treated me to a wonderful day. First I had breakfast in bed, as did Hoyer, then we went to church and after I went off to the spa for a full day of treatments and pampering. I met Kyle and Hoyer at the park around 4pm and headed home for tea. Kyle and Hoyer enjoyed their afternoon too, sitting in Kensington Gardens reading the paper. Of course Hoyer was in Daddy's favorite outfit when I went to meet them- the safari friends sleep sack. Kyle is a great dad and takes wonderful care of Hoyer, even though he puts Hoyer in the same outfit every time. I am just glad he was dressed! My boys are too sweet to me.

Spring in London

Hoyer has outgrown many of his newborn outfits already. Kyle's favorite,

sleep sacks and day gowns, are inching their way up his long chicken legs each day! His hats look like beanies with pinwheels these days, he eats every 2 hours but this week he slept once for 4 hours at night. We have not had that happen again, but hope so soon. We have been enjoying the spring weather and walking in the park everyday. Hoyer's passport and visa are all in and we are thrilled to take our first trip out of the country as we head to Brussels this Easter! Here is his picture for his documents! What a looker!

We have had a wonderful time with family including the visits from Aunt Kacy and Brad, Hoyer's godparents. Here are some pictures from the church.

Aunt Kacy came all the way from Chicago today to visit Hoyer! She had a good flight and made it to the flat very quickly. Tonight, cousin Brad comes to London from Italy to meet Hoyer and spend time with everyone. Brad brought Hoyer some Army Ranger patches, we are all so proud of Brad's service.

We have asked Kacy, Kyle's sister to be Hoyer's Godmother and Brad, Kyle's cousin to be his Godfather. Because it is lent, Hoyer won't be baptized while they are here, but we will celebrate anyway.

New Mums and Baby Clinic-3 weeks

Hoyer met new friends today at the Kensington Chelsea Woman's Club New Mums Group. We had coffee and hung out in the new gigantic mall, Westfield with other Mums and babies. Hoyer was the youngest one, but not the smallest.
Later this afternoon we headed to Baby Clinic where he was weighed and measured. At just three weeks, Hoyer now weighs 10 lbs 13 0z and is measuring 23.4 inches. What a growing boy!

Thank goodness it's the weekend!!
The Benefield's have been enjoying their time in London and visiting
with Hoyer. Kyle and I were able to go to a movie together last night while Nan and Gramps babysat. It's a lazy day this Saturday for Hoyer and me. Kyle made pancakes and took his parents out to some markets around town.

Nan and Gramps arrived in London yesterday afternoon and had a nice long nap and today are feeling refreshed. We are all enjoying time hanging out with Hoyer. Kyle is back at work today after two weeks off for paternity leave.
Nan and I have already bathed Hoyer this morning and later we are going to go to the grocery and post office and maybe take a walk in the park.

Bye Bye GG and Pop

GG and Pop left London today. We are all so sad to see them go. GG and Pop were such a big help and we had so much fun with them. Hoyer will miss all the love and cuddles for sure.
Everything is going well with Hoyer. He saw the midwife yesterday and now weighs 9 lbs 14 oz. He just keeps gaining!! He is an eating machine. Sometimes I feel like all I do is feed him! He is a very sweet baby and good as gold.
Kyle's mom and dad, Nan and Gramps (not sure if the name is final just yet..) arrive on Tuesday! Kyle and I are working as a team on our first few days alone with our little bear. We are just totally in love with our precious child.
