Skatboarding at 13 months.

Charlie is determined to figure out how to ride this play skateboard. He uses the sofa to keep steady then he hops on and pushes along. I haven't gotten it on video yet, because I am so worried he is about to fall, I don't want to be too distracted, but did manage this set up shot the other morning.
He is my daredevil for sure!

Last trip to China before babies

This was my last trip into China before the babies come. With Charlie- I was going at 8 at months, but not risking it with theses little monkeys on the way. First we stopped in Dafin-where my friend Katy went nuts with all the amazing art supplies at affordable prices.

I picked up the family portrait-although now it doesn't include EVERYONE...so another must be done in the upcoming years. Sorry I can't turn it around for some reason.

I also had some of my Hoyer's artwork framed. This is his from last year- it is the HK taxi, Star Ferry and a Dragon Boat. It is hanging in his bedroom now and looks adorable!

I also picked up a piece for Kyle for father's day. This is an original oil painting that I knew Kyle would love! Happy Early Father's Day Kyle!

I found a spot for the portrait and the oil painting-but wall space is getting low....

Next we stopped at Lowu to pick up a few things and have a few things made. I found this adorable fabric-and had a maternity pillow made- which will be a great pillow for they boy's window seat eventually.

Love Birds at it again.

Hoyer had Ellie over for dinner last Tuesday. He set the table with crazy straws and Gerber forks. It was adorable. I served lasagna and strawberry milk, as requested, and Ellie brought brownies for dessert.  They played fireman and relaxed watching Alvin and the Chipmunks part 2. What a precious pair.

Summer Time

School in HK may go through June, but it is offically Summer here!
We have been enjoying the pool and also enjoying the showers at the club, walking home in PJs and falling asleep in weird places because, well, we are just so 'dog gone' tired!
Happy Summer!

Grace and Peace be multiplied to you

One of the teachers at Hoyer's school gave me this mug. Funny and sweet. We are blessed with a loving family of friends in Hong Kong.
"Day 39 on the Ark-Elephants look around at all the rabbits and say...I thought the limit was two!"
11 Peter 1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied to you.

Sums it up!

Thank you for your comfort.

Kyle and I have been overwhelmed by the support and love and prayers coming our way. Thank you to everyone who is praying for us, thinking about us and sending good vibes our way. It is working! Today I saw a speacilist and he was pleased with the pregnancy, we are not out of the woods yet however, but today, things look good. I go back in two weeks to confirm the growth of the twins and for a check-up. Please continue to pray for healthy babies. We are trying to get to 26 weeks and we are pleased with each passing day. If we can get to 26 weeks without complications we should be a-okay! The dr did say that the twins are likely MALES! Although it is early still....4 boys..can you imagine? Thanks again for your love.

I fell in love with this verse this week and it made me so grateful for all of you who have come forward with your own stories and words of hope and gave me a good feeling, so I wanted to share.

2 Corinthians 1

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

Power of Prayer

Thank you for all of your heartfelt prayers.
We received the miraculous news we've all been praying for.
The twins have a membrane separating them.
Praise be to God.
We are still high risk, but have been blessed by this news.
Next milestone is 26 weeks. If we can get there with the babies healthy our chances of other complications drop dramatically. And we could expect term babies delivered c-section at Matilda by my doctor that delivered Charlie and whom I adore.
Prayers are still very much appreciated and needed.
Thank you friends.

HCM, Vietnam

Kyle was in Vietnam for a conference and I flew down for a quick weekend- just adults! It was great, checking out the city and exploring. More on Roux in a Wok

Kyle is not giving up his day job anytime soon. Those coconuts were way heavy in the heat!
