Terra Cotta Warriors Xian, China

Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed from these pits. Most of them have been restored to their former grandeur.
The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses is a sensational archeological find of all times.
The terracotta warriors were created by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang di pronounced - Chin Shi Huang di who conquered and united China from a collection of warring states to become its First Emperor. He built the Great Wall and amassed great works of art. 70,000 workers built his tomb and the
over 8000 fantastic life-size clay warriors which protected his tomb. The Famous Terracotta Army - is now referred to as the eighth wonder of the ancient world.



Even the soles of the shoes were accurate and detailed.

This is the only warrior who was found in one piece. You can still see the color on his back.
