Where is the moon Charlie?

Charlie discovers the moon.

Which was perfect timing as we celebrated the Moon Festival here in Hong Kong.
It was another great year spent on the shores of Discovery Bay, watching the 'Lady Rise' and lighting ourselves and everything else with glow sticks!

Twinkie Update

Here I am in my 32nd week.
4.6lbs and 4.2lbs

Obviously the twins are growing!
They are both big for a singleton pregnancy-so we are well on track!
Babies should both be well over 5 lbs each at delivery.
They are still trying to get comfortable and change positions every doctor visit, but soon they will run
out of room, right? I am running out of room!

Just 2 more weeks and I can deliver at the private hospital where Charlie was born! The big milestone of 34 weeks is right around the corner!  Praise the Lord.

Then, it will be a week by week decision as to when they come or are born.

I am betting on October 25th-they day GG and Pop get here...

For now I am putting my feet up!

Typhoon Usagi

Hong Kongers braced for the worst as Typhoon Usagi approached Sunday night. Luckily, the T-8, equivalent to a category 5 hurricane, changed course at the last minute leaving HK a little sore, but not beaten  down.

Unfortunately, our luck is China's loss. It has been reported so far that over 20 people lost their lives in Southern China due to this storm. Not to mention Taiwan and the Philippines who were at the receiving end of thebegining of the crazy storm.

Over 600 miles wide, this was the largest storm to hit HK since the early 80s and the biggest storm of the year on earth.

We did not take any chances with this typhoon. Kyle booked us a room at the airport Marriott, we prepared the apartment as best we could and headed off the soon to be locked down area of Discovery Bay.

Kyle definitly turned lemons into lemonade. We all enjoyed room service, an indoor heated pool and a luxurious room. Plus, we were out of harms way, with an escape plan to a hospital in case of labor and the biggest plus was the hotel's sound proofing. The kids had no idea just how windy and rainy it was through the night and there was no need to fear.

Charlie enjoyed a big deep bathtub immediately.  While Hoyer set up a fort on the couch for the night!
