My sweet husband was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma nine years ago today.

No one can deny that he has lived life to the fullest in these past years, a promise he made to himself while undergoing treatments.

I met Kyle while he was 3 years in remission and we celebrated in style in London at 5 years. At 8 we felt lucky to be in China and lucky to be alive.

Each year on this very special day, we like to do something as a family, celebrating life to the fullest. This year we will all go to Disneyland together.

Hoyer and I are just glad to live this full life with Kyle.

Kyle,
Thanks for surviving, thanks for fighting, thank you for being here to love and be loved.

Keeping Cool

Ice skating in July is a nice way to keep cool in this HK heat.

The rink inside Elements Mall is amazing.

Love the little penguins that sturdy the little ones.

Hoyer is too small to partake, but watching was a lot of fun. We finished the day at the movies. We saw Kung Fu Panda 2. Hoyer loved it. He has been practicing his moves all night.

PS: a typhoon interfered with Hoyer's debut as an Orange. School was cancelled and regrettably, so was the performance. We have yet to hear if it will be rescheduled.
