This is me and my dad. Taken at our Poplarville, MS house around 1982. My brother found it and sent it out as he is now the age of our father in this picture! I love the picture because it brings back to many amazing memories of our Mississippi house and my childhood. That shed behind my dad held all of our fishing gear and tubing gear and we always had to open the doors with caution as there were snakes lurking...That swing, I can remember how that yellow rope would splinter into my hands and how we changed the swing from a tire to a wedge tire to a wooden seat and there was a sandbox across from here and I can remember hauling in sand from the creek down the path.
I love this picture because I am the same age as Charlie and for once I see a smidgen of resemblance to my little blue-eyes blond hair boy. My dad looks the same to me and Hoyer- as he said without hesitation that that was Pop-but was curious who Pop was holding-
"Who is that little girl?" he asked.
"Did Mary Katharine and Martin have a girl?
So sweet that in Hoyer's mind, Pop looks just like Pop still. Must be the hair!
